Puppy Socialisation

Start early. The best time to socialize a puppy is between 3 and 12 weeks old, when they are most receptive to new experiences. Expose your puppy to a variety of people, places, and things. This includes people of all ages, sizes, and ethnicities, as well as other animals, such as dogs, cats, and horses. Take your puppy for walks in different neighborhoods, visit parks and stores, and let them meet new people. Make sure the experiences are positive. If your puppy has a negative experience, it could make them fearful or anxious in the future. So, make sure all of their interactions are positive and rewarding. Use treats, praise, and play to keep them engaged and happy. Go at your puppy's pace. Don't force them to interact with something they're not comfortable with. If they're scared, give them some time to adjust. You can also try desensitizing them to the trigger by gradually exposing them to it in a controlled environment. Be patient and consistent.
